The short version
- The websites set no cookies and run no analytics or ads.
- Lock only stores data if you choose to create an account.
- Your Riot password is never asked for and never seen.
- Profiles are public to other signed-in Lock users — that is how the in-app user search works.
- Ask by email and your account and everything in it gets deleted.
Who is responsible
These apps and websites are run by an individual developer operating as KeniX, based in Poland. For anything in this policy, including requests to see or delete your data, write to kenixio777@gmail.com.
Because the operator is in the EU, the GDPR applies to everyone using these apps, wherever you live.
The websites
kenix.app and kenix.app/Lock are static pages. They set no cookies, run no analytics, show no ads, and have no login. Nothing you do on them is recorded by KeniX.
Three third parties do see your IP address purely because your browser has to fetch files from them:
| Service | Why it is used | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| GitHub Pages | Hosts the pages | IP address, standard server logs |
| Google Fonts | Loads the typefaces | IP address |
| Riot Data Dragon | Loads champion artwork | IP address |
This is ordinary technical logging that happens whenever a browser requests a file. None of it is combined into a profile of you by KeniX, and KeniX has no access to those logs.
The Lock app
If you never create an account
Lock works without one. In that mode nothing leaves your computer. Your champion pool and settings sit in a file on your own machine.
If you create an account
An account exists so your pool and stats follow you between machines and so other players can look you up. Creating one stores:
- Email address — to identify the account, send the verification link, and reset a password.
- Password — stored only as a cryptographic hash by Google Firebase Authentication. It is never visible to KeniX in readable form.
- Display name — the nickname you pick.
- Champion pool — the champions you commit to.
- Match record — wins, losses, kills, deaths, assists and the KDA calculated from them.
- Summoner name and rank — if you choose to add them.
Other users can see your profile
Lock has a user search. Any signed-in Lock user can find your display name, summoner name, champion pool, win/loss record, KDA and rank. This is the point of the feature, but it is worth being explicit: treat everything above as public.
Your email address is never shown to other users and is not searchable.
What Lock never collects
- Your Riot or League of Legends password. Lock reads a temporary file the League Client writes on your own computer, which never leaves your machine.
- Chat messages, voice, screenshots or anything else from your games.
- Files, browsing history or any other program on your computer.
- Payment details. Everything is free and there is nothing to buy.
Where the data lives
Account data is held in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), in Google's European region. Google acts as the processor; KeniX decides what is stored and why.
Google's own handling of that data is covered by their Firebase privacy documentation.
Why it is allowed to be stored
Under the GDPR the legal basis is performance of a contract — you asked for an account, and the data listed above is what an account consists of. There is no advertising or profiling basis, because there is no advertising or profiling.
How long it is kept
Until you ask for it to be deleted. There is no automatic expiry. Accounts that are never verified may be cleared out periodically.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to:
- See a copy of everything stored about you
- Correct anything wrong
- Delete your account and all its data
- Receive your data in a portable file
- Object to how it is being handled
Email kenixio777@gmail.com from the address on the account. This is a one-person project, so expect a human reply rather than an instant automated one, within 30 days at the latest.
If you are unhappy with the response, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Poland that is the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO).
Age
League of Legends has its own minimum age requirements, and Lock accounts follow the same principle: do not create one if you are under 13, or under the minimum digital-consent age in your country, which is 16 in some EU states. If you believe a child has created an account, email the address above and it will be removed.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who can see it, the date at the top changes and the change will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the app after that means the new version applies.
